Portraits: 1. iso-500 shutter speed-1/60 f-22
2. iso-50 shutter speed-1/250 f-2.8
For the first two pictures I find that portrait with the lowest aperture is the nicest one because it really makes us focus on the subject and the background is not disturbing at all. The feeling of the first picture is a bit more clean but distracting because of its very sharp background.
Architecture: iso-3200 shutter speed-1/13 f-22
In my opinion it is much better to have a lots of depth for an architecture shot because you get much more detail all the way through your images.
Still Life:1. iso-3200 shutter speed-1/640 f-2.8
2. iso-3200 shutter speed-1/100 f-8
3. iso-3200 shutter speed-1/8 f-22
For these three pictures, I find that the second one is really the best one because it has the perfect balance. The first one is a bit to soft because the depth of field is a little bit to shallow because it's out of focus near the edges of the speaker. The third one on the other hand doesn't have as much as that darkening effect for the background, so the eye focuses a bit more on the whole image. Finally the second one really has the right balance because it has all the detail around the edges of the speaker and also has the darkening effect on the background so that we can really focus on the object.
